Going for an Interview at the Canadian Embassy: Rules to follow to make you come out smiing

People get nervous when going to the Embassy for an interview and make costly mistakes which costs them their visa application.
Below are a few tips to note to increase your chance of coming out of the interview room smiling.

1. Dress Responsible

While you may not need to look too formal, it will be wise not to dress in a way that will raise a red flag. Remember you are supposed to make a good first impression, and would not want to appear as one who would cause trouble or be a negative influence. Therefore, simply dress neat and avoid over doing it. Its an Interview not a party

2. Provide truthful answers only to questions asked

Most people get nervous when they see the interviewer and start saying things not asked. They could mistakenly give out information about them that ruins their chances. Only give relevant informant informant in response to questions asked. It will be wise to give correct information in accordance with your Visa application as discrepancies in your response will be noted and ruin your chances.

3. Avoid Confrontation with the Interviewer

This is a No-No. Granted that some Interviewers may appear rude, try not to get into a confrontation with the interviewer. where there is a disagreement, do well to ask questions or state your disagreement politely. Getting into a confrontation will most likely ruin your chances for Visa approval.

4. Be Confident

Once you have provided all the relevant informant required of you, you have nothing to be nervous about. Most questions asked of you will be as already provided in your application and a some personal questions. Just re-affirm based on in the information already provided, reasons for travel etc.

5. Be Early

This may seen like a simple, basic thing to do, but flaunting this alone can affect the other precautions. Appearing late will definitely make you look irresponsible. Rushing in trying to beat time can make you make you edgy and nervous, which in turn can make you appear less confident, or easily irritable and confrontational.

To round up, lets just see it as an interview with an Employer who just needs to reaffirm all that is in your application to rule out to fake ones. Goodluck!
